A. Gregory W. Marra Studios aka Sculpting Our Heroes: SOH is a Florida based small business dedicated to preserving the legacies of American heroes, and the victorious spirit of our country. Initially established in 2010 as American Patriots in Art owner and Master Sculptor Greg Marra changed the name in 2013 to Sculpting Our Heroes to better capture the essence of the business. SOH is committed to producing artworks that not only capture the detail of each subject but also the emotion in a manner that will last for generations to come. The spirit of the hero Marra sculpts is felt in his works and is a unique ability which defines true mastery. 

SOH has created a number of statutes honoring America’s heroes from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Currently SOH is working with the Florida state legislature and Good Will Industries on a Post-9/11 monument memorializing Florida’s OEF/OIF veterans. Some of these pieces are annotated in Section VIII, Past Performance.

Greg earned a bachelor degree in fine arts (BFA) from Hartford University in 1998. After graduation he continued his studies at the prestigious New York Academy of Figurative Arts, America’s finest figurative arts conservatory. Greg graduated in 2001 with his masters in fine arts (MFA) and began traveling abroad. In Europe Greg studied the acclaimed works of old-world Master Sculptors found throughout the continent’s museums, churches and public squares. While on travel Greg noted how the timeless classics were not only crafted in a manner that captured the detailed appearance of the figure they were portraying but also the historic mood of its peoples. Upon return Greg focused on producing artworks that would both uplift the nations spirit and honor America’s heroes as victorious. Today Greg’s works can be found on display in public areas, museums and in private collections throughout the country. A committed artisan and patriot, Greg’s work has been endorsed by Gold Star families, veteran groups blessed by bishops and elected officials at every level of government including the Honorable George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States.
